ZEE5 is set to launch Free Ad-Supported Streaming Television (FAST) channels in India this August, expanding its presence in the Connected TV market through a collaboration with Amagi Media Labs Ltd., a leader in cloud-based broadcast and streaming technology. The new FAST channels will offer a curated, always-on selection of premium content, including movies and series across genres like comedy, drama, horror, and cult classics, catering to India’s growing digital audience.
This strategic move aims to provide accessible, high-quality entertainment to viewers on connected devices and smart TVs, further strengthening ZEE5’s rapidly expanding Connected TV footprint. The partnership with Amagi will enable seamless content discovery, dynamic ad-insertion, and real-time monetization, creating new opportunities for advertisers and enhancing the AVOD (advertising-based video on demand) model.
