Adobe is reimagining its famous Acrobat platform with the launch of Acrobat Studio, a new service that extends beyond PDFs to incorporate a wide range of file types and productivity tools. Launching globally in English, this subscription-based platform blends Adobe’s PDF editing with its Adobe Express content creation and AI assistants to streamline collaborative workflows.

From PDF Reader to Productivity Powerhouse

Acrobat Studio is designed to evolve Acrobat from a traditional PDF tool into a comprehensive workspace where users can manage up to 100 files at once, including PDFs, web pages, and Microsoft 365 documents. These files are combined into a single workspace called PDF Spaces, which act as collaborative knowledge hubs where teams can view, edit, and manage content seamlessly without switching apps.

Within PDF Spaces, users can:

  • Sign and share agreements related to a project
  • Consolidate research and notes
  • Create infographics or visual assets using integrated Adobe Express tools
  • Collaborate with colleagues and clients in real-time

This setup promotes centralized work environments where all relevant information and files are organized and accessible in one place.

AI Assistance for Smarter Workflows

One of Acrobat Studio’s standout features is its customizable AI agents embedded within PDF Spaces. Building on Adobe’s existing AI capabilities in Acrobat, these assistants can:
