Apple Reveals iPhone Air – Slimmest iPhone Yet, A19 Pro Chipset

Apple has launched its thinnest iPhone ever, the new iPhone Air. This model brings a fresh design, top-end features, and long battery life, making it a major update in Apple’s smartphone lineup.

The iPhone Air is just 5.6 mm thin and weighs 165 grams. It uses a mix of glass and aluminium, protected by Ceramic Shield 2 glass in front and Ceramic Shield at the back. It is available in four colors: Space Black, Cloud White, Light Gold, and Sky Blue.

Display and Camera

The phone has a large 6.5-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with 120 Hz ProMotion and up to 3,000 nits brightness, perfect for streaming and gaming. At the back, there is a single 48 MP Fusion Camera with sensor shift OIS for sharp photos and videos. The front camera is 18 MP and comes with Center Stage for better video calls, and both cameras can record 4K 60 FPS video.

Performance and Battery Life

The iPhone Air is powered by the new A19 Pro chipset built on a 3nm process, along with Apple’s N1 chip and C1x modem for faster performance. It packs 12GB RAM and offers three storage options: 256 GB, 512 GB, and 1TB. The silicon-carbon battery provides up to 27 hours of video playback and can charge to 50% in 30 minutes. There is also an optional battery pack that extends usage up to 40 hours.

Software and Features

The phone ships with the latest iOS 26, featuring the new Liquid Glass UI, more customization options, and updated Apple Intelligence AI features. It also keeps the handy Camera Control button first seen in the iPhone 16 series.

Price and Availability

The iPhone Air starts at $999 (US price). In India, the base 256GB model starts at ₹1,19,900. Pre-orders for both regions begin on September 12, 2025 on Apple’s website.
