Recent leaks have revealed that the Google Pixel 9a is set to launch in mid-March 2025, with pricing details surfacing for its two storage variants. The 128GB model is expected to retail for $499 (approximately ₹43,180), maintaining the same price point as its predecessor, the Pixel 8a. However, the 256GB variant is anticipated to see a price increase, costing $599 (around ₹51,830), which is $40 more than the Pixel 8a’s launch price of $559 for the same storage capacity.
In India, the pricing could be slightly higher due to currency fluctuations, with expectations that the 256GB model will be priced above ₹52,999, which was the launch price for the Pixel 8a’s equivalent model. The early March launch date marks a shift from previous years when a-series devices were typically unveiled in May.
In terms of specifications, the Pixel 9a is rumored to feature a 6.285-inch FHD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, powered by the Google Tensor G4 processor and equipped with 8GB of RAM. It will offer dual rear cameras—a 48MP main camera and a 13MP ultra-wide camera—alongside a 13MP front camera. Additional features include an in-display fingerprint sensor, IP68 water and dust resistance, and a robust 5100mAh battery with fast charging capabilities.
As anticipation builds for its release, the Pixel 9a appears poised to deliver significant upgrades while remaining competitively priced within Google’s smartphone lineup.
