HONOR is preparing to launch the HONOR X70 series in China later this month, and key specifications for the device have now surfaced, revealing several standout features and upgrades over its predecessor, the X60.

Massive Battery and Slim Design

The HONOR X70 is set to feature an 8300mAh silicon-carbon battery, which would make it the largest of its kind in a smartphone—surpassing even the recent HONOR Power’s 8000mAh cell. Despite this enormous battery, the device is said to maintain a slim profile at just 7.7mm thickness and a lightweight build of 193 grams for the standard version. The phone will also support 80W fast charging, and the top-end 512GB storage variant is tipped to offer wireless charging, a rarity in this segment.

Display and Performance

The X70 is rumored to sport a 6.79-inch 1.5K flat display (2640×1200 pixels) with a 120Hz refresh rate and narrow bezels, likely an OLED panel, providing a vibrant and immersive viewing experience. Under the hood, it will be powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 4nm SoC with an Adreno 810 GPU, marking a shift from the Dimensity 7025 Ultra chip used in the X60. Memory options are expected to include 8GB or 12GB RAM and storage choices of 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB.

On the imaging front, the HONOR X70 is said to offer a 50MP rear camera with OIS and an 8MP front camera for selfies. The device will run MagicOS 9.0 based on Android 15, supporting dual SIM (nano + nano) configurations.

Additional Features

  • 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE
  • Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), Bluetooth 5.2, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou
  • USB Type-C audio
  • Color options: White, Blue, Black, and Red
  • Thickness: 7.7mm (standard) / 7.9mm (wireless charging version)
  • Weight: 193g (standard) / 199g (wireless charging version)

Notably, the HONOR X70 Max is expected to replace the Pro model in this series.

More details, including official pricing and launch dates, are expected in the coming weeks as HONOR prepares for the X70’s debut in China.
