Nothing has rolled out a major update to its AI-powered Essential Space platform, introducing several productivity-boosting features that enhance personalization and control for users of the Nothing Phone (3) and soon the Phone (3a) series.
What’s New in Essential Space?
Google Calendar Integration
One of the most notable additions is seamless integration with Google Calendar. Now, to-do items and scheduled tasks created through Essential Space will automatically sync to your preferred Google Calendar account. This makes managing appointments and reminders much easier by uniting task creation and scheduling in one place.
Editable Memory
Essential Space users can now review and manually edit AI-generated summaries, tasks, and action items. This means that if the AI makes an error in details—such as incorrect meeting times or task descriptions—you can correct these directly, ensuring your records are always accurate and up to date.
Essential Recorder Enhancements
The Essential Recorder has also received important upgrades:
- Flip-to-Record: By placing the device face down, recording will start automatically, allowing discreet capture of meetings, interviews, or conversations.
- Editable Transcripts and Summaries: After recording, you can edit the AI-generated summaries to clarify or fix missed details.
- Share Recordings Easily: Export recordings and their summaries as images, PDFs, or Markdown files and share them quickly with others using just one tap.
Availability
These new features are already live for the Nothing Phone (3) and will soon be rolled out to the Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro devices. The update does not require a full system update but will be delivered automatically through the Google Play Store when your device is connected to Wi-Fi.
