Oppo’s highly anticipated Reno 15 series is gearing up for its official debut in China next week, but new reports suggest the Indian variant will arrive with a few notable changes under the hood.

According to industry insider Yogesh Brar, in collaboration with Smartprix, the Oppo Reno 15 Indian variant will feature the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset — a step down from the Dimensity 8450 processor expected in the Chinese model. However, Oppo seems to be compensating for the drop in performance with a larger 6,500mAh battery, up from the 6,200mAh unit seen in the global version.

The Reno 15 is also rumored to come with an 80W fast charging system, a 6.59-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and a triple rear camera setup. The camera configuration is likely to mirror the Reno 14’s setup — a 50MP main camera, 8MP ultrawide, and a 50MP telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom. On the front, users can expect a 50MP selfie shooter.

In terms of software, the device will run ColorOS 16, with features like Wi-Fi 7 and NFC included. Oppo has already revealed that the Reno 15 will be available in blue and gold color options, offering up to 16GB RAM and 1TB of storage.

While the China launch is set for November 17, 2025, the Indian release is expected by February 2026, with a rumored price tag of around ₹43,000.

If these leaks hold true, Oppo’s India strategy seems focused on balancing performance and battery life — catering to users who value endurance over sheer processing power.
