PlayStation has launched a new app called PlayStation Family, available on both iOS and Android. This app helps parents manage and monitor their children’s gaming on PS5 and PS4 consoles easily from their phones.
With the app, parents can see what games their children are playing in real time and get notifications when kids ask for extra playtime. Parents can approve or decline these requests right from the app. They can also set daily or weekly time limits to control how long children can play.
The app provides activity reports to show how much time kids spend gaming and which games they play the most. Parents can filter games based on age appropriateness using preset or customized settings.
Additionally, parents can control social features to manage how their kids interact online and set monthly spending limits for the PlayStation Store, including adding funds to their child’s wallet and viewing balances.
PlayStation Family makes it easier for parents to keep their kids safe and promote healthy gaming habits, with all controls accessible from a mobile device anytime, anywhere. The app is available now on the App Store and Google Play.
