Realme has officially confirmed that its GT 8 series, which includes the GT 8 and GT 8 Pro, will launch in October 2025. This marks a significant change in Realme’s strategy, as both models are set to arrive together instead of being released months apart as happened with previous generations. The company aims to position the new lineup alongside the most prominent Android flagships, and expectations around its specifications are high.

One of the main highlights is the use of Qualcomm’s yet-to-be-released Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset. This new processor promises top-tier performance and enhanced efficiency, making both the GT 8 and GT 8 Pro strong contenders in the premium smartphone segment. The GT 8 Pro is likely to feature a flat 6.85-inch 2K OLED display from Samsung, equipped with an advanced anti-glare coating similar to Samsung’s own flagship devices, ensuring vibrant visuals and reduced reflections.
On the power and endurance front, the GT 8 Pro is rumored to come with a massive 7,000mAh battery and support for 100W fast charging. The device will also incorporate a metal middle frame for better durability. Realme is pushing boundaries with its camera technology as well; the GT 8 Pro may include a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto sensor, possibly the Samsung HP9, bringing advanced zoom and clarity for mobile photography.
Security features like a 3D ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor are set to boost user confidence in both safety and convenience. While there’s no confirmation yet on the final pricing, early reports suggest the GT 8 Pro could start around €649 ($700), with the regular GT 8 costing about €499 ($540). With these features and a simultaneous launch, Realme is clearly targeting direct competition with major Android flagship brands. Official details and more information are expected closer to the October launch.
