Xiaomi has started teasing the upcoming Redmi 15 5G smartphone ahead of its launch in India, expected in early August. The teaser highlights the phone’s large battery, claiming it can last up to 7.5 hours on standby with just 1% charge remaining. The device will be available for purchase on Amazon.in, mi.com, and offline retail stores.

Ahead of the official announcement, images and specifications of the Redmi 15 5G have surfaced online, revealing a massive 6.9-inch FHD+ display with a smooth 144Hz refresh rate. The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 SoC and packs a substantial 7000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging.

The camera setup includes a 50MP primary sensor paired with a 2MP secondary camera, and an 8MP front camera for selfies. The device is also rated IP64 for dust and splash resistance, adding durability for everyday use.

Regarding configurations, the Redmi 15 5G has been listed at around RM 699 (approximately ₹14,300 or $165) for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant, with an expected 6GB + 128GB model likely to be available as well. Although NFC is mentioned in the listing, it may not be supported in all regions, such as India.

The Redmi 15 5G is anticipated to launch alongside the Redmi 15C 5G, the latter being the successor to the Redmi 14C. Xiaomi’s official announcement is expected later this week, with the Indian availability of the Redmi 15 series slated for early August.

This new Redmi device aims to offer a large display, powerful battery life, and capable cameras at an affordable price point, making it an attractive option for budget-conscious consumers seeking a feature-rich smartphone.
