Samsung is preparing to launch the Galaxy A57 5G smartphone, expected early in 2026, powered by the new Exynos 1680 chipset featuring the Samsung Xclipse 550 GPU. The Exynos 1680 was recently spotted in Geekbench OpenCL benchmarks with a model number s5e8865, achieving a score of 6,580, indicating strong graphics performance comparable to the Xclipse 540 GPU found in the Exynos 1580 but with improvements linked to AMD’s RDNA 3.5 microarchitecture, also used in the flagship Exynos 2500.

The chipset features a tri-cluster CPU architecture with one prime core clocked at 2.00 GHz—the highest clock speed for a mid-range Exynos chip—three performance cores at 1.95 GHz, and four efficiency cores at 1.70 GHz. Early rumors suggest nearly double the CPU performance over its predecessor.

The Galaxy A57 5G is tipped to offer 8GB RAM with a possible 12GB variant, alongside a large 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with 1080 x 2340 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Other expected specs include a 50MP main camera, a 5,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging, and IP67 dust and water resistance, running Android 16 with One UI 8.

This device continues Samsung’s trend of enhancing mid-range phones with powerful SoCs and strong memory options to deliver improved gaming and overall performance. The Galaxy A57 5G will debut alongside the Galaxy A37 5G, targeting early 2026 for launch.
