Samsung has launched the Galaxy F17 5G in India as the successor to the Galaxy F16 5G. The new model keeps the 6.7-inch FHD+ 90Hz Super AMOLED display with a notch but upgrades the processor to the Exynos 1330, replacing the MediaTek chip from the previous model.
The Galaxy F17 5G keeps the triple rear camera system — a 50MP main sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 5MP ultra-wide, and a 2MP macro camera — along with a 13MP front camera. It runs on Android 15 with Samsung’s One UI 7 user interface and will receive six major OS updates and six years of security updates.
The phone offers Gorilla Glass Victus protection for the screen and is water and dust resistant with an IP54 rating. It is slightly thinner (7.5mm) and lighter than the predecessor and features a refreshed camera design.
A 5000mAh battery powers the phone with support for 25W fast charging. Other features include side-mounted fingerprint sensor, USB Type-C port, Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, GPS, NFC, and 5G connectivity across multiple bands.
The Galaxy F17 5G comes in Violet Pop and Neo Black colors. The 4GB RAM + 128GB storage version starts at Rs. 14,499, while the 6GB + 128GB variant is priced at Rs. 15,999. It is available through retail stores, Samsung.com, and Flipkart with offers like Rs. 500 cashback on HDFC Bank and UPI transactions and no-cost EMI for up to 6 months.
