Samsung is gearing up for the launch of its Galaxy S25 FE, with reports indicating an earlier release than its predecessor. Industry sources, cited by Korean news outlet FN News, reveal that the device is expected to debut in South Korea on September 19, 2025. This marks a departure from the Galaxy S24 FE’s timeline, which saw a global launch in September 2024 but only arrived in Korea in November of that year.

The reported September 19 launch in Korea leaves open the possibility of a global release either before or around the same time. Samsung’s recent earnings call hinted at an “earlier launch” for the S25 FE, which could be a strategic move to make room for other major device launches planned for the second half of 2025, including the anticipated TriFold smartphone.

The Galaxy S25 FE is expected to carry forward most features from its predecessor, with minor upgrades. It will likely maintain the 6.7-inch AMOLED display, 8GB of RAM, and a battery capacity close to 4,700mAh, although some rumors suggest a slight increase. The device may drop the 512GB storage option but improve charging speeds to 45W wired and support Qi2-compliant wireless charging. The selfie camera is reported to improve slightly to 12MP. Color options might include a similar palette with enhanced chrome accents on frames and camera modules.

Under the hood, the S25 FE is expected to be powered primarily by Samsung’s Exynos 2400 chipset, though there is speculation that Samsung may fallback to the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 if supply constraints arise.

With this earlier launch schedule, Samsung aims to wrap up its S series releases for 2025 while setting the stage for several other product unveilings anticipated later in the year, including XR headsets and mid-range Galaxy devices.

The Galaxy S25 FE will likely appeal to those seeking a familiar yet refreshed flagship experience with incremental improvements, delivered a bit sooner than usual.
