vivo has officially launched the X Fold5 in India, marking its latest entry into the premium foldable smartphone segment. Priced at Rs. 1,49,999 for the sole 16GB RAM and 512GB storage variant, the device is available in Titanium Grey and will go on sale from July 30 via vivo’s online store, Flipkart, and offline retailers, with pre-bookings open now.
Display and Design
The X Fold5 features an 8.03-inch 2K+ LTPO AMOLED main display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 4,500 nits peak brightness, alongside a 6.53-inch FHD+ LTPO AMOLED cover display—also 120Hz and equally bright. Both displays support HDR10+ and Dolby Vision, and are TÜV Rheinland certified for eye protection.
The device is impressively slim, measuring 9.2mm thick when folded and 4.3mm when unfolded, and weighs just 217g. It boasts a robust build with a carbon fiber support hinge tested for 600,000 folds, and offers IPX8 & IPX9 water resistance, IP5X dust resistance, and –20°C freeze resistance for durability in extreme conditions.
Performance and Battery
Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, the X Fold5 is paired with 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB UFS 4.1 storage. The foldable runs on Android 15-based Funtouch OS 15 and introduces the Origin Workbench for enhanced multitasking, allowing up to five apps to run simultaneously.
A standout feature is its 6,000mAh battery—the largest in a foldable—using fourth-generation silicon-anode and second-generation semi-solid-state battery technology. It supports 80W fast wired charging, 40W wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging, ensuring long-lasting and rapid power delivery.

The X Fold5 sports a triple rear camera setup co-developed with Zeiss:
