vivo has launched the Y400 5G, the latest addition to its Y400 series in India, following the recent debut of the Y400 Pro 5G. The Y400 5G offers a compelling package featuring a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of up to 1800 nits, and SGS Eye Protection certification, ensuring comfortable viewing.
The device is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC, boasting an advanced cooling system with a 40,000 mm² cooling area. It comes with 8GB of RAM, supplemented by an additional 8GB of virtual RAM, making multitasking smooth. The phone’s camera setup includes a 50MP Sony IMX852 primary sensor and a 2MP portrait lens, along with a 32MP front-facing camera for selfies.
Durability is a significant highlight of the vivo Y400 5G, with IP68 and IP69 ratings, allowing the device to withstand water submersion up to 2 meters for 30 minutes. It also supports underwater photography using physical buttons, along with wet-hand touch, moisture detection, and one-touch water ejection for enhanced user experience.
Running on Android 15 with Funtouch OS 15, the phone incorporates an AI Suite offering features such as AI Transcript Assist, AI Note Assist, AI Documents, Screen Translation, Circle to Search, AI Superlink, and Focus Mode, designed to boost productivity.

Pricing for the vivo Y400 5G starts at Rs. 21,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant, while the 8GB + 256GB model is priced at Rs. 23,999. The phone will be available for purchase across vivo India’s online store, Flipkart, Amazon, and offline retail outlets from August 7, 2025, with pre-bookings starting August 4.
