Samsung may launch the Galaxy S26 Plus alongside new Edge, Pro, and Ultra models early next year. The S26 Plus was originally rumored to be replaced by a slim “Edge” version, but weak sales of the S25 Edge have made Samsung rethink its plans.
Galaxy S26+ Is Back
According to recent reports, Samsung is restarting the development of the S26 Plus, codenamed “M Plus.” It will join the Galaxy S26 Pro, S26 Edge, and S26 Ultra, making a total of four models instead of three in the new series.
Why Samsung Changed Plans
The S25 Edge didn’t sell well, with only about 300,000 units planned between September and December. The S25 Plus, on the other hand, is expected to reach 500,000 units over the same period. This prompted Samsung to bring back the Plus model to avoid losing sales and keep fans happy.
What To Expect
Samsung originally planned three models (Pro, Edge, Ultra), but now a “Plus” version will likely be added. All models are already getting OLED panel development started. The Galaxy S26 series is expected to launch in January 2026, so more news will arrive soon.
Samsung wants to offer more options and boost sales by bringing back the popular Plus model in the Galaxy S26 series.
