Samsung has rolled out the One UI 8 Watch update based on Wear OS 6 for the Galaxy Watch 7 in the US, following its earlier debut in Korea. The update is available for LTE models of both the 40mm and 44mm Galaxy Watch 7 variants, with non-cellular models expected to receive it soon. One UI 8 Watch brings a refreshed, more visually appealing interface with vertically stacking tiles for quick access, a condensed Now Bar for ongoing activities, and enhanced AI-based running insights.

Additional health features include vascular load tracking, improved bedtime winding cues, mood check-ins, and expanded support for pinch gestures. The update also incorporates September 2025’s security patch. Samsung is also testing a beta version of One UI 8 for the Galaxy Watch 6 and plans to extend the update to Watch 5 and Watch 4 models.

Owners can manually check for the update via the Samsung Wearable app by navigating to Watch settings > Watch software update > Download and install. The update aims to enhance usability and provide health-focused improvements on Samsung’s Wear OS smartwatches, narrowing the gap with competitors like the Pixel Watch 4.
