Apple has officially launched the refreshed Apple Vision Pro with the powerful M5 chip, providing a significant leap in performance, display rendering, and AI-driven computing. Alongside faster processing, the new model introduces a Dual Knit Band for enhanced comfort and balance, and the latest visionOS 26, delivering deeper spatial experiences, upgraded widgets, and Apple Intelligence capabilities with expanded language support.

The M5 chip, built on third-generation 3nm architecture, features a 10-core CPU (4 performance and 6 efficiency cores) and a 10-core GPU with hardware-accelerated ray tracing and mesh shading for realistic lighting and reflections in apps such as Control. The Neural Engine, upgraded to 16 cores, delivers up to 50% faster system-level AI performance and 2x speed in third-party apps.

The Vision Pro now renders 10% more pixels on its micro‑OLED displays and supports refresh rates up to 120 Hz, improving clarity and reducing motion blur. The R1 chip works alongside M5 to process data from 12 cameras, 5 sensors, and 6 microphones, ensuring 12 ms photon‑to‑photon latency for an ultra‑realistic view of the environment.

Battery efficiency also sees improvement, offering 2.5 hours of general use and 3 hours of video playback, with the ability to run continuously when connected to power.

Apple redesigned the headset fit using a Dual Knit Band composed of a 3D‑knitted, dual‑rib structure for cushioning, stretch, and breathability. Tungsten inserts provide a balanced counterweight, while an adjustable Fit Dial allows precise control. The band comes in small, medium, and large sizes and remains compatible with previous Vision Pro models.
