Threads, Meta’s social app rivaling X (formerly Twitter), is rolling out new features to enhance user control over conversations. With the new reply approvals feature, users can now choose which replies appear publicly on their posts, keeping unwanted or off-topic comments hidden until approved. When enabled, all replies to a post go into a Pending tab for review before being visible to others, helping maintain a positive and focused discussion environment.

Additionally, Threads introduces filters in the Activity feed that let users easily sort replies to see only those from “People you follow” or that include “Mentions.” This makes managing conversations and finding relevant interactions more straightforward.

These updates come as Threads celebrates growing to 150 million daily active users and begin rolling out video ads globally. Alongside new creator tools and algorithm controls, Meta aims to provide users greater power over their social experience on Threads.
These features are gradually rolling out and should be available soon to all users with the latest app update.
