Google and Reliance Jio have partnered to offer an 18-month free subscription to the premium Google AI Pro plan exclusively for Jio users aged 18 to 25 with active unlimited 5G plans in India. Valued at Rs 35,100, this offer grants access to Google’s latest Gemini 2.5 Pro multimodal AI model, along with advanced AI tools such as Veo 3.1 for video generation, Nano Banana for AI image editing, NotebookLM for research, and AI integration in Google Workspace. Subscribers will also receive 2 TB of cloud storage shared across Google Photos, Gmail, Drive, and WhatsApp backups.
This initiative aims to make cutting-edge AI capabilities accessible to millions of young users and strengthen Reliance’s position against competitors like Airtel, which recently launched a similar Perplexity Pro AI plan. The offer can be redeemed easily via the MyJio app by logging in, tapping on the Gemini AI Pro banner, and following the redemption steps. Existing Google One users switching to this plan will have their current subscription replaced.
Additionally, Reliance is collaborating with Google Cloud to expand AI hardware infrastructure across India to support enterprises and extend Gemini Enterprise services. This aggressive push for AI adoption comes amid growing demand in India’s vast digital market and competition with other AI providers like OpenAI.
