Samsung’s next major flagship launch might have a confirmed date. According to recent leaks, the Galaxy S26 Unpacked event is reportedly scheduled for February 25, 2026, in San Francisco—one of the global centers of AI innovation. This marks a slight delay compared to previous January and early February Unpacked timelines.
The extended launch window is said to allow Samsung more time to finalize its strategic lineup. The company reportedly dropped earlier “Pro” and “Edge” naming experiments and will stick with its proven trio: Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Plus, and Galaxy S26 Ultra. This decision follows underwhelming performance from last year’s S25 Edge model.
Samsung’s renewed focus will center squarely on artificial intelligence. Holding the event in San Francisco reflects that focus, as the brand aims to position the Galaxy S26 as the definitive AI smartphone. The company is expected to unveil both new AI-driven software experiences and its broader AI ecosystem plans during the event.
Under the hood, leaks suggest Samsung will continue its dual-chip deployment strategy. Select regions, including the US and Canada, will receive the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, while other markets will feature Samsung’s in-house Exynos 2600 processor. Early reports also hint at a major camera improvement, with the Galaxy S26 rumored to include upgraded 3x telephoto sensors for enhanced zoom performance.
With February 25 now tipped as the official reveal date, anticipation is building for Samsung’s most AI-focused Galaxy lineup yet—one poised to lead the 2026 flagship smartphone race.
