Apple has officially rebranded Apple TV+ to simply “Apple TV,” marking a major visual and identity refresh for its streaming service. Along with the new name, Apple unveiled a colorful logo and a signature intro sound that will now play before every Apple TV original show, movie, or trailer.
A Fresh Identity for Apple’s Streaming Platform
The rebrand was confirmed through a short YouTube video released by Apple, showcasing the updated logo and the new jingle. The transition drops the “+” from Apple TV’s name, signaling a simplified and more unified brand identity across Apple’s entertainment ecosystem.
This change also comes with a new app icon, which is rolling out with the iOS 26.1 update to iPhone, iPad, and other Apple devices.
New Jingle Composed by Finneas
The new intro sound — or “jingle” — was composed by Finneas, the Grammy-winning artist and producer. In an interview with Variety, Finneas shared that this musical cue will play before every Apple TV original production.
Apple’s Head of Music, David Taylor, described the sound as “a completely original composition that feels cinematic and magical.”
There are three variations of this new Apple TV sound:
- A 5-second main theme for series and shows
- A 1-second version for trailers
- A 12-second extended version for Apple Studios feature films
From Rumor to Rollout
Hints of the rebranding first appeared when Apple casually mentioned the switch from Apple TV+ to Apple TV in a blog post promoting its upcoming film, F1: The Movie. At the time, neither the website nor the app reflected the change.
Now, Apple’s official Apple TV website and YouTube channel both showcase the rebrand, confirming the rollout is underway across platforms.
What’s Next for Apple TV
The move aligns with Apple’s broader effort to simplify its brand names and create a cohesive ecosystem for entertainment and media. The fresh, colorful logo and the new jingle give Apple TV a distinctive identity — setting it apart from other streaming platforms while staying true to Apple’s minimalist design language.
As the iOS 26.1 update continues to roll out, users will start seeing the updated Apple TV app icon on their devices. The new intro sound will also debut with upcoming Apple Originals in the following weeks.
