IQOO has officially confirmed that the iQOO Neo 7 and Neo 7 Pro will be updated to OriginOS 6, based on Android 16.
When Vivo and iQOO announced the global rollout plan for OriginOS 6 last month, only the newer Neo 10, Neo 10R, and Neo 9 Pro were listed. The absence of the 2023 Neo 7 series left many users disappointed. However, iQOO has now confirmed that both models will indeed get the update, following strong user demand.
Originally launched with Android 13 and Funtouch OS 13, the Neo 7 and Neo 7 Pro have already received Android 14 and Android 15. The upcoming Android 16 update with OriginOS 6 will be their final major OS upgrade, in line with iQOO’s promise of two Android updates and three years of security patches.
The OriginOS 6 rollout for the iQOO 13 and iQOO 12 will begin in November 2025, with other models following from December 2025 through H1 2026. The Neo 7 series is scheduled to receive the update in the first half of 2026, with an exact rollout timeline to be announced closer to launch.
