LG has brought a major upgrade for gamers in India with the launch of the LG Gaming Portal, enabling console-free cloud gaming on LG Smart TVs. The new portal integrates directly with the Xbox app, giving users access to a massive library of over 4,000 cloud-streamed games and more than 600 free-to-play single and multiplayer titles.

The LG Gaming Portal acts as a central hub for gaming on webOS, combining content from various partners. It lets users instantly access global blockbusters and indie hits without any need for a physical console — just a compatible controller, Xbox Game Pass subscription, and stable internet connection.

The Xbox app, now officially available on LG Smart TVs in India, allows streaming of popular titles like Forza Horizon 5Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, and Raji: An Ancient Epic directly via the cloud.

On the performance front, LG Smart TVs are optimized for smooth, high-quality gaming with features such as G-Sync compatibility, variable refresh rates up to 165Hz (VRR), AMD FreeSync Premium support, and Intertek-certified 0.1ms pixel response time. These enhancements aim to minimize lag and motion blur for a seamless cloud gaming experience.

The LG Gaming Portal with Xbox integration is being rolled out to compatible LG webOS TV models from 2021 through 2025 across India. The update is available via software rollout in phases across major cities, allowing users to access the new Gaming Portal right from the LG home screen.
