T-Mobile Offers Free Lines to Select Customers Again

T-Mobile is once again offering select customers a free line, and there’s a good chance some existing subscribers might qualify. The new “Line On Us” promo adds an extra line to eligible accounts at no monthly line cost, making it an attractive deal for families and power users looking to expand their service.

What T-Mobile is offering

The promotion gives qualifying customers a free additional line on their existing account, without requiring a new device purchase or rate plan change in most cases. The only mandatory upfront cost is a one-time device connection fee of around $35 for activating the line, and if you’re on a plan where taxes and fees are excluded, you’ll still need to pay applicable monthly taxes on that “free” line. These types of offers are typically targeted at customers who already have at least two paid lines on their account, in line with T-Mobile’s previous free-line campaigns.

How to check if you’re eligible

T-Mobile is notifying eligible customers directly via text, so checking recent messages from the carrier is the easiest first step. You can also open the T-Life app and look for a banner or alert about a free line offer tied to your account. Alternatively, visiting a T-Mobile store and asking a representative to check your account for the current “Line On Us” promotion and associated loyalty code can confirm eligibility.

Important conditions to know

If you accept the offer, you must bring your own compatible device, as you generally can’t finance a new phone on this free line. T-Mobile also hasn’t publicly detailed the full qualification criteria, so availability is account-dependent and may be limited to long-term or multi-line customers.
