Apple Vision Pro, a mixed reality headset, is set to expand its global reach by adding 12 new languages to its virtual keyboard. The current version of the Vision Pro only supports English (US) and Emoji, which limits its use to the United States. However, Apple is planning to include languages such as Cantonese (Traditional), Chinese (Simplified), English (Australia, Canada, Japan, Singapore, UK), French (Canada, France), German (Germany), Japanese, and Korean.

These language expansions suggest that Apple may be planning to launch the Vision Pro in countries like Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, and the UK, as well as potentially in Hong Kong and Taiwan. Apple previously announced that the Vision Pro would be available in more countries later this year, but did not specify when. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicts that the Vision Pro will expand its availability before the June Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC).

The Vision Pro was initially launched in the U.S. in February, with vague information about its availability elsewhere. With enhanced language support, Apple seems poised to target global markets, although it’s uncertain if all regions will receive the product simultaneously.

The addition of multiple languages to the Vision Pro’s virtual keyboard indicates Apple’s intention to expand its presence in the global market. While the exact timeline for the rollout in these countries is not yet confirmed, it is expected that the Vision Pro will become available in more countries before the end of 2024.
