Apple is reportedly preparing to release the Powerbeats Pro 2, the next generation of its popular fitness earbuds, as early as February 11, 2025. This information comes from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, adding credibility to recent leaks and rumors surrounding the device.

The Powerbeats Pro 2 promises a significant upgrade from its predecessor, boasting several key improvements. A major highlight is the inclusion of the H2 chip, which is expected to deliver superior active noise cancellation for a more immersive workout experience.

Design-wise, the new earbuds are rumored to feature a slimmer and more vertical profile compared to the 2019 Powerbeats Pro. This updated design is complemented by a range of vibrant color options, including Electric Orange, Jet Black, Quick Sand, and Hyper Purple, as confirmed by Gurman and previously reported by MacRumors.

Beyond aesthetics, the Powerbeats Pro 2 is designed with fitness enthusiasts in mind. Integrated heart rate monitoring during workouts allows users to track their performance more effectively. Furthermore, the earbuds are expected to seamlessly connect with gym equipment like treadmills, syncing workout data directly with the iPhone’s Health app.

Other notable enhancements include improved sound quality, extended battery life, and enhanced compatibility with Android devices, including features like Find My Device. The charging case will also see an upgrade, now featuring a USB-C port for more convenient charging.

According to Gurman, Apple is expected to officially unveil the Powerbeats Pro 2 on Tuesday, February 11, 2025. The anticipated price point in the U.S. is $250.

As the launch date draws closer, Apple is likely to release an official announcement with further details. Fitness enthusiasts and tech aficionados alike should keep an eye out for this promising new addition to Apple’s audio lineup.   Sources and related content
