OPPO India has announced the launch of the second edition of its Photography Awards, now rebranded as the OPPO India Photography Awards 2025 powered by LUMO. The new LUMO identity reflects OPPO’s ambition to push the boundaries of mobile imaging and visual storytelling in India.
New Categories and Collaboration
This year, OPPO has partnered with Discovery to introduce the ‘Super Culture Moment’ category as part of the Culture in a Shot Marketing Initiative, encouraging participants to capture the vibrancy and diversity of India’s cultural landscape using OPPO’s advanced photography features.
Jury and Format
The judging panel features Vikram Channa (VP, Warner Bros Discovery, Southeast Asia) and acclaimed photographer Joseph Radhik. The competition is open to Indian citizens aged 18 and above and spans nine categories: Super Snap, Youth, Live, Me, Vibe, Story, Connection, Culture, and Environs.
Participants must submit a title and a 60–150-word description for each photo, explaining its symbolism. In the first round, a jury will shortlist 50 finalists. In the second round, these finalists will complete a creative challenge using the OPPO Find X8 Pro smartphone, after which the jury will select the winners based on creativity, impact, and storytelling.
Theme, Timeline, and Prizes
The 2025 edition is themed ‘Super Every Moment’, emphasizing the power of photography to turn everyday experiences into compelling stories. Submissions for Round 1 are open until September 15, 2025 (Midnight IST) at lumo.oppo.com/in/. Round 2 will run from October 20th to mid-November, with winners announced by the end of November 2025.
