The OnePlus 15 is set to break tradition with a bold new camera design, ditching the iconic circular camera island style that has been a hallmark since the OnePlus 11. According to leaks from Digital Chat Station and multiple sources, the upcoming flagship will feature a rounded-corner rectangular camera module positioned in the top-left corner of the back panel. This design closely resembles the camera layout seen on the recent OnePlus 13T (also known as the OnePlus 13s), but the module on the OnePlus 15 is expected to be larger and more prominent.
Beyond design, the OnePlus 15 is rumored to sport a high-quality 1.5K resolution display with advanced LIPO (Low Injection Pressure Overmolding) technology for increased durability and ultra-thin bezels. Despite a slight downgrade in resolution compared to its predecessor, the screen is anticipated to deliver a premium viewing experience.
Under the hood, the phone will be powered by the next-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset, ensuring top-tier performance and efficiency. In terms of photography, a 50-megapixel main sensor is expected to lead the triple-camera setup, which may also include ultra-wide and telephoto lenses. Reports also suggest that the Hasselblad co-branding may be dropped for this model, although the partnership with Hasselblad has been recently extended, so the final camera branding remains uncertain.
OnePlus is reportedly equipping the 15 with a massive battery in the range of 7,000 to 7,500mAh, supporting 100W wired fast charging and likely 50W wireless charging. This battery capacity would mark a significant boost, catering to users looking for longer endurance.
For cultural reasons, the company will skip the number 14 in its naming; the OnePlus 15 follows the OnePlus 13 directly since the number ‘4’ is considered unlucky in China.
The OnePlus 15 is expected to launch toward the end of 2025 in China, with a global rollout anticipated in the first quarter of 2026, continuing OnePlus’s recent pattern of staggered releases.
The OnePlus 15 promises a fresh look combined with powerful internals and a robust battery, aiming to appeal to fans of the brand seeking both style and substance in a flagship device.
