Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S10 FE, launched in April 2025 with Android 15 and One UI 7, has been spotted testing the next major software update: Android 16 with One UI 8. The 5G variant of the tablet appeared on Geekbench running an early build, scoring 1,379 in single-core and 3,998 in multi-core tests, indicating promising performance ahead of the stable release. The tablet runs on the Exynos 1580 chipset, an upgrade over the previous Tab S9 FE’s Exynos 1380, suggesting improved efficiency and power with Android 16 optimizations.
Samsung is currently testing One UI 8 internally across its Galaxy devices, but the Tab S10 FE is not included in the public beta program. The stable rollout for One UI 8, based on Android 16, is expected to begin after Samsung launches its Galaxy S25 series in September 2025, with the Tab S10 FE likely to receive the update soon afterwards.

One UI 8 introduces several enhancements including smarter AI-powered features powered by Galaxy AI and Google Gemini integration, improved multitasking, smarter notifications, and productivity boosts, all while maintaining smooth performance across devices. The design is also refined with easier-to-understand UI elements and enhanced split-screen and desktop (DeX) experiences.
The Galaxy Tab S10 FE itself offers a 10.9-inch AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, a large 8,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging, and camera setup comprising a 13MP rear and 12MP front-facing camera. It is available in two configurations in India — 8GB RAM with 128GB storage and 12GB RAM with 256GB storage — with prices of ₹40,800 and ₹53,999 respectively on Amazon India.
Samsung continues to provide regular security and stability updates for current users as the Android 16-based One UI 8 testing progresses internally.
