Vivo is preparing to debut its next-generation flagship series, with leaks suggesting that the Vivo X300 and X300 Pro will launch in October 2025. The news comes via well-known tipster Smart Pikachu, who claims that the launch will take place shortly after China’s extended National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holidays that run from October 1–8.
Vivo X300 Series: Compact Yet Powerful
Unlike last year’s Vivo X200 lineup, which included three variants (X200, X200 Pro Mini, and X200 Pro), Vivo is reportedly trimming the series down to two models this year – the X300 and the X300 Pro.

The standard Vivo X300 is tipped to feature a compact 6.3-inch display, similar in size to the X200 Pro Mini, making it one of the few compact Android flagships on the market. The X300 Pro, meanwhile, is expected to deliver the full flagship experience with upgraded internals.
Both devices will be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 chipset, promising a significant performance lift over the X200 generation.
Camera Upgrades with Zeiss Optics
One of Vivo’s strong points has always been mobile photography, and the X300 series is said to bring enhancements in this department as well. The phones will debut a new generation of Zeiss coating on their lenses, aimed at reducing glare, improving light transmission, and enhancing color accuracy for better optical performance overall.
Beyond Smartphones: Earbuds and IoT Push
Alongside the new flagships, Vivo is expected to unveil a new pair of earbuds. Looking ahead, the company reportedly has ambitious plans to expand its footprint in the IoT and wearables segment in 2026, with multiple flagship-grade devices in development.
As for the much-rumored Vivo X300 Ultra, reports indicate it may not launch alongside the X300 and X300 Pro. Instead, Vivo is targeting a mid-2026 release for the Ultra as its ultimate photography-centric flagship.
Vivo’s Immediate Lineup Expansion
Ahead of the flagship X300 lineup, Vivo is set to launch the Vivo Y500 in China on September 1. The device will feature a 120Hz AMOLED display, a massive 8,200mAh battery with 90W fast charging, and 50MP dual cameras, powered by the Dimensity 7300.
The Takeaway
With the X300 and X300 Pro, Vivo appears to be focusing on streamlined premium flagships while offering something rare in the Android world: a compact flagship option complemented by Zeiss-enhanced camera capabilities.
If leaks are accurate, the new X-series duo will arrive shortly after China’s October holidays, setting the stage for one of the most competitive months in the smartphone industry, with multiple Chinese brands gearing up for next-gen launches.
