Google has launched Gemini for Google TV, expanding its AI capabilities to the big screen. Unlike the usual Google Assistant, Gemini offers natural, free-flowing conversations to help users find shows, plan trips, or answer complex questions just by saying “Hey Google” or using the mic button on the remote.
Smarter Content Discovery

Gemini makes it easy to find the perfect show by understanding detailed requests like, “Find me a drama for me and a comedy for my wife.” It can also give quick summaries of shows, help with vague searches, and provide reviews to help viewers decide what to watch.
Learning and Skills on TV

The AI assistant can also turn the TV into a learning tool. It can explain school topics, suggest DIY projects, teach skills like guitar, and offer cooking ideas—all paired with helpful YouTube videos.
Availability
Gemini is currently available on the TCL QM9K series TVs and will expand to more devices later in 2025, including Google TV Streamer, Walmart onn. 4K Pro, Hisense U7, U8, UX models, and select TCL models.
