Apple Watch Ultra 3 Rumored to Feature Larger Display

The Apple Watch Ultra 3 is expected to feature a slightly larger display than its predecessor, the Ultra 2. According to findings in the latest iOS 26 beta, the Ultra 3’s screen resolution appears to increase from 410×502 pixels on the Ultra 2 to 422×514 pixels, which suggests either a larger 1.98-inch display or thinner bezels while keeping the physical size nearly the same.

The current Ultra 2 model has a 1.93-inch display, so this represents a modest increase in screen area. However, there have been no rumors indicating that the overall casing size of the watch will grow significantly. This leaves it likely Apple is either trimming the bezels or making subtle size adjustments to achieve the bigger display. Apple will need to balance the size increase carefully, since a larger screen could lead to faster battery drain on a device already known for tight battery life management.

This update is anticipated to be unveiled alongside the iPhone 17 series and other Apple Watch models, such as the Series 11 and Apple Watch SE, in Apple’s expected September 2025 event.

Besides the bigger display, rumors point to additional features for the Apple Watch Ultra 3 including satellite connectivity for off-grid messaging, a brighter LTPO3 OLED display with improved refresh rates, possibly 5G cellular connectivity, blood pressure monitoring, and a new S10 or S11 SiP processor.

Overall, the Apple Watch Ultra 3 appears set to build on the premium rugged design of the Ultra line by offering a slightly larger screen and enhanced functionality while maintaining similar form factor dimensions.
