Galaxy S25 FE Real Images Leak: Smaller Battery and Slimmer Design

Samsung’s eagerly awaited Galaxy S25 FE is shaping up to be a slimmer, lighter device—but that may come with a trade-off in battery capacity. Leaks from reputable sources reveal that the new model will sport a 4,500mAh battery, down from the 4,700mAh pack found in its predecessor, the Galaxy S24 FE.

The reduction of 200mAh aligns with design changes that make the S25 FE notably thinner at 7.4mm compared to the S24 FE’s 8mm thickness, and lighter at 190 grams versus 213 grams. This marks a clear shift toward a more compact and portable phone, potentially at the expense of battery endurance.

Alongside these physical changes, leaked real-life images suggest that the overall aesthetic remains familiar, closely mirroring last year’s FE model. The handset will feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Performance will be driven by the Exynos 2400 chipset, paired with options for 8GB or 12GB of RAM and storage tiers of 128GB or 256GB.

On the camera front, the S25 FE should offer a versatile triple-lens setup including a 50MP main sensor with optical image stabilization, a 12MP ultrawide shooter, and an 8MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. A 12MP front camera completes the package.

Charging capabilities are expected to improve, with support for 45W wired charging and 15W wireless charging. The phone will also maintain IP68 dust and water resistance, ensuring durability alongside its streamlined design. Samsung’s Android 16-based One UI 8 will run out of the box.

Some uncertainty remains around the battery figure, as a teardown of leaked specs suggested the possibility of a 4,900mAh cell with claims that the 4,500mAh number might be a typo. However, multiple trusted sources support the smaller capacity, hinting that Samsung is prioritizing design refinement over absolute battery size for this “Fan Edition” model.

This development could spark debate among Samsung fans about whether slimmer phones are worth the compromise in battery life. Meanwhile, other models in the upcoming Galaxy S25 lineup, such as the Ultra, are expected to retain larger batteries to satisfy users who prioritize endurance.
