Samsung is set to unveil its latest Galaxy Watch 8 series at the Galaxy Unpacked event on July 9, 2025, in Brooklyn, New York. The new lineup includes the Galaxy Watch 8, Watch 8 Classic, and the Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025), each offering significant upgrades and design refinements over their predecessors.

  • Galaxy Watch 8 comes in two sizes: 40mm with a 1.34-inch sAMOLED display (438×438 pixels) and 44mm with a 1.47-inch sAMOLED display (480×480 pixels), both featuring 327ppi and up to 3000 nits peak brightness. It uses Aluminum Armor with Sapphire Glass.
  • Watch 8 Classic has a 46mm dial with a 1.34-inch sAMOLED screen (438×438 pixels), also 327ppi and 3000 nits brightness, crafted from stainless steel with Sapphire glass. It also features the iconic rotating dial.
  • Watch Ultra (2025) retains the previous model’s 1.47-inch sAMOLED display (480×480 pixels) with 327ppi and 3000 nits brightness, made from titanium and sapphire glass, and introduces a new blue bezel and matching Marine strap as a fresh color option.

Galaxy Watch 8 Series Performance and Features

All three models are powered by the 3nm Exynos W1000 5-core chipset, with 2GB RAM. Storage varies: the base Watch 8 has 32GB, while the Classic and Ultra models offer 64GB. They run on One UI 8.0 Watch and include a comprehensive sensor suite: accelerometer, altimeter, gyroscope, light sensor, geomagnetic sensor, PPG (Photo-Plethysmographic), ECG, and BIA sensors for advanced health monitoring.

  • Watch 8 batteries range from 325mAh (40mm) to 435mAh (44mm).
  • Watch 8 Classic has a 445mAh battery.
  • Watch Ultra (2025) features a larger 590mAh battery.
