After years of anticipation, NVIDIA has officially confirmed that its cloud gaming service, GeForce NOW, will launch in India in November 2025, marking five years since its debut in North America and Europe. The Indian rollout comes as part of NVIDIA’s global expansion strategy, following similar launches in regions including Thailand, where it partnered with Brothers Picture.

The entry into India will coincide with one of GeForce NOW’s most significant technical milestones—a platform-wide hardware upgrade powered by the company’s latest NVIDIA Blackwell RTX architecture.

Blackwell RTX Powers the Next Era of Cloud Gaming

Starting September, GeForce NOW servers worldwide will be upgraded to Blackwell RTX GPUs, delivering GeForce RTX 5080-class performance to subscribers without any changes in membership pricing.

The upgrade promises significant leaps in both compute performance and visual fidelity, with specifications including:

  • 62 teraflops of compute performance
  • 48GB frame buffer
  • DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation for enhanced resolution and frame rates
  • Up to 5K streaming at 120 fps, with NVIDIA Reflex enabling latencies as low as 360 fps for competitive gaming
  • A new Cinematic Quality Streaming mode with 4:4:4 chroma sampling and AV1 hardware encoding

Device compatibility is also being expanded. Premium members will be able to stream at 90 fps on Steam Decks4K at 120 fps on Lenovo Legion Go S handhelds, and selected LG TVs and monitors. Mac users are also set to benefit from the full Blackwell RTX upgrade.

New “Install-to-Play” Feature Expands Game Library

NVIDIA is also introducing a cloud-native Install-to-Play feature in GeForce NOW, allowing members to install games directly in the cloud. This innovation effectively removes publisher onboarding bottlenecks and expands the cloud service’s library to nearly 4,500 titles.

Ultimate and Performance members will receive 100GB of session-based cloud storage, with options for persistent storage at an additional monthly fee. This means gamers can keep their installed titles ready without repeated downloads each session.

Pricing and Availability

GeForce NOW Pricing

GeForce NOW’s membership pricing remains unchanged globally:

  • Ultimate Plan: USD 19.99 (~₹1,745) per month or USD 199.99 (~₹17,460) annually
  • Performance Plan: USD 9.99 (~₹870) per month

However, the company has cautioned that server availability for Ultimate memberships will be limited given high demand.

Indian pricing and local partnerships are expected to be announced closer to the November 2025 launch window.

A Big Moment for Indian Gamers

With the Indian gaming market rapidly expanding—driven by broadband penetration, affordable 5G, and growing interest in high-quality titles—the arrival of GeForce NOW could be a game-changing moment, making AAA PC-quality gaming accessible without the need for expensive hardware.

November 2025 could mark the start of a new chapter for India’s cloud gaming ecosystem, with NVIDIA positioning itself at the forefront.
