Google has launched a new feature called Search Live in the U.S. that lets you use your phone’s camera and voice to ask questions in real time. This AI-powered tool gives instant spoken answers while showing a carousel of helpful web links on your screen.

Unlike Gemini, which is designed as a conversational AI assistant, Search Live focuses on combining traditional web search with AI. You can point your camera at something and ask a question; Search Live understands the visuals and provides quick guidance plus links for deeper information.

Search Live is great for everyday tasks like setting up electronics or learning new skills hands-on. For example, point your phone at a TV cable and ask where it should connect, or get step-by-step advice on making matcha tea with recommendations customized to your query.

While Gemini is more of a personal AI assistant that handles a wide range of tasks including creative work, Search Live stays focused on instantly helping you find useful information from the web combined with natural language interaction.

This new feature makes searching faster and more interactive, especially when typing is slow or inconvenient.
