HONOR has officially launched the Magic V5, the company’s newest flagship foldable smartphone for global markets, enhancing its foldable lineup with advanced features in design, durability, AI integration, battery, and camera technology. Building on the success of the Magic V3, the Magic V5 sports a slim and lightweight profile, especially in its Ivory White variant, which measures just 8.8mm thick when folded and weighs 217 grams.
The phone features a sizable 7.95-inch foldable OLED display on the inside and a 6.43-inch OLED panel on the outside, both supporting stylus input and enhanced viewing experiences with HDR Vivid, Dolby Vision, and ZREAL technology. These screens reach an impressive peak brightness of 5000 nits, with eye comfort features like 4320Hz PWM dimming and natural light adjustments. Multi-Flex mode enables multitasking with up to three apps on-screen simultaneously.
Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform with Adreno 830 GPU, the Magic V5 runs MagicOS 9.0.1 based on Android 15. The device stands out with its AI Falcon Camera System, featuring a triple rear setup with a 64MP Ultra Sensing Periscope Telephoto, a 50MP main camera, and a 50MP Ultra-Wide camera. The AI HONOR Image Engine supports advanced photography options including AI Enhanced Portrait, AI Super Zoom, and Motion Sensing Capture. It also includes dual 20MP front cameras for selfies and video calls.
Durability is a highlight, with HONOR’s Super Steel Hinge designed to withstand over 500,000 folds and materials like an Anti-scratch NanoCrystal Shield and Carbon Fiber Reinforced Inner Display for robust protection. The Magic V5 also offers IP58 and IP59 ratings, ensuring dust and water resistance.
The phone is backed by a 5820mAh silicon-carbon battery, which supports 66W wired fast charging, 50W wireless charging, and wireless reverse charging. Connectivity features include dual 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, dual-band GPS, NFC, and USB Type-C audio.
Available in Ivory White, Black, Dawn Gold, and Reddish Brown, the HONOR Magic V5 is priced at £1,699.99 (approx. ₹2,01,000) / 1,999 Euros (approx. ₹2,03,000) for the 16GB RAM plus 512GB storage model.
