Huawei has introduced its second-generation tri-fold smartphone, the Mate XTs, exclusively in China. This innovative device features a large 10.2-inch tri-fold LTPO OLED display with a stunning 3K resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. It supports stylus input, enabling greater productivity and creative use. The unique folding mechanism allows the Mate XTs to collapse into smaller screen sizes of 7.9 inches and 6.4 inches, offering versatile usage from tablet-like to compact phone form factors.

Powered by the new Kirin 9020 chipset, the Mate XTs offers a 36% performance boost over its predecessor’s Kirin 9010. It is paired with 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage, positioning it as a high-end flagship device. The camera setup includes a 50MP main sensor with a variable aperture, a 40MP ultrawide lens, and a 12MP periscope telephoto lens with 5.5x optical zoom, delivering premium photography capabilities.
The device sports a 5,600mAh silicon anode battery, supporting fast charging at 66W wired and 50W wireless, alongside reverse wireless charging. Weighing 298 grams and measuring 3.8mm thickness when unfolded, the Mate XTs balances slimness with a futuristic design.

Additional features include Huawei Pencil stylus support for note-taking and controls, Bluetooth keyboard connectivity for a desktop-like experience, and a reinforced folding hinge for durability. Pricing starts at around $2,520 for the 16GB/256GB model, with higher storage options reaching approximately $3,080. Deliveries are set to begin on September 12, with no current word on international availability.
