Motorola has unveiled the Moto G04, their latest budget contender in the ever-competitive G series. Priced starting at Rs. 6,999, this phone packs several features rarely seen in its price range, making it a potential game-changer for budget-conscious buyers.

Specification :

Smooth Scrolling on a Big Screen: The G04 boasts a generous 6.6-inch HD+ LCD display with a smooth 90Hz refresh rate. This means animations, scrolling, and even casual gaming will feel noticeably smoother compared to standard 60Hz displays, offering an enhanced user experience.

Performance Punch: Powering the phone is the Unisoc T606 processor, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 8GB of virtual RAM. While not a powerhouse, this combination should handle everyday tasks like browsing, social media, and even light gaming adequately. Users can choose between 64GB or 128GB of storage, with the option to expand further via microSD.

Up-to-date Software: The G04 runs the latest Android 14 out of the box, ensuring users have access to the newest features and security updates. Motorola has even committed to 3 years of security updates, a rarity in this segment, offering peace of mind.

Long-lasting Battery: Keeping you going is a massive 5000mAh battery. With moderate usage, this should easily last a full day or even two. While the supported fast charging speed is capped at 15W, the included 10W charger should top you up for basic needs.

Camera Basics: The rear camera setup features a single 16MP sensor, while the front houses a 5MP shooter. While not mind-blowing, these should suffice for capturing basic memories and video calls.

Other Features: The G04 comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for security, a 3.5mm headphone jack for wired audio lovers, and basic water repellency (IP52) for protection against splashes.

Availability and Pricing:

The Moto G04 comes in four vibrant colors: Concord Black, Sea Green, Satin Blue, and Sunrise Orange. The 3GB + 64GB version starts at Rs. 6,999, while the 6GB + 128GB variant goes for Rs. 7,999. It will be available on Flipkart, Motorola’s website, and retail stores starting February 22nd. Launch offers include an additional Rs. 750 off on exchange.

With its 90Hz display, large battery, up-to-date software, and competitive price, the Moto G04 emerges as a strong contender in the budget smartphone segment. If you’re looking for a smooth user experience, long battery life, and the latest Android on a tight budget, the G04 is definitely worth considering. However, users seeking powerful cameras or the most bleeding-edge tech might need to look elsewhere.
