OnePlus tablets and wearables will have to wait a bit longer. According to reliable leakers Digital Chat Station and Max Jambor, the highly anticipated launches of the OnePlus Pad 2 and OnePlus Watch 3 have been postponed. While no official reason has been revealed for the delay, a new leak sheds light on some potential specifications for the OnePlus Pad 2.

Uncertain Wait for New Devices

Earlier reports suggested a mid-2024 launch for the OnePlus Pad 2. However, Digital Chat Station has thrown a wrench in those plans, indicating a postponement without a revised timeframe. This news is further corroborated by Max Jambor, a known source for accurate OnePlus leaks.

Upgraded Specs for the Pad 2 (Rumored)

Although the launch is delayed, a silver lining emerges in the form of leaked specifications for the OnePlus Pad 2. This upcoming tablet is rumored to ditch the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 found in its predecessor and embrace the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. This upgrade aligns with reports suggesting similar specs for the Pad 2 and the upcoming OPPO Pad 3, hinting at a possible close relationship between the two devices.

The leak also details the rumored specs of the OPPO Pad 3, including a large 12.1-inch 3K LCD display, a massive 9510mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging, and a variety of storage and RAM options. Both the Pad 2 and Pad 3 might also feature a 13MP rear camera, an 8MP front camera, support for a Pencil2 smart stylus, Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos enhancements.

More Information to Come

While the delay is a setback, it allows for further speculation and potential leaks in the coming months. Hopefully, this wait will be rewarded with the official unveiling of the OnePlus Pad 2 and OnePlus Watch 3, packing the rumored upgrades and innovative features.
