Pixel 10 Pro XL AnTuTu Leak: Faster Than Pixel 9, Yet Not a Flagship Killer

Abhi Soni

The Google Pixel 10 Pro XL, powered by the Tensor G5 chip, has surfaced on the AnTuTu benchmarking platform, revealing a performance increase of about 15% compared to its predecessor, the Pixel 9 Pro XL. However, the Pixel 10 Pro XL remains far behind competitors like Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite and Apple’s A18 Pro.

AnTuTu Benchmark Results

Google Pixel 10 Pro XL AnTuTu Score
  • Pixel 10 Pro XL scored approximately 1,140,286 points on AnTuTu.
  • The Pixel 9 Pro XL previously scored around 983,628 points.
  • This shows a performance bump mainly attributed to the new Tensor G5 chip.

Tensor G5: First TSMC-Manufactured Tensor Chip

The Tensor G5 is Google’s first chip manufactured by TSMC, crafted on a 4nm process. Despite the fabrication upgrade, its performance is modest compared to flagship processors from Qualcomm and Apple.

Competitors’ Scores for Context:

  • Snapdragon 8 Elite surpasses 3,000,000 points on AnTuTu.
  • Apple A18 Pro scores close to 1,600,000 points.
  • Even Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2, a mid-range chip, scores over 950,000 points.

What Does This Mean for Pixel Users?

While the Tensor line has never focused solely on raw power, instead prioritizing optimization for Pixel devices’ AI, machine learning, and software features, the Pixel 10 Pro XL’s AnTuTu results reinforce that the phone may not compete in sheer processing power.

Previous Pixel models offered smooth and reliable user experiences despite lower benchmark scores, relying on Google’s hardware-software integration. The same expectation is set for the Pixel 10 series, which is confirmed by the credible manufacturing of Tensor G5 by TSMC.

Launch Details

The Pixel 10 series, including the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold, is set to launch globally on August 20, 2025. The foldable Pro model will debut later, around October.
