Samsung’s long-rumored trifold smartphone finally has a name — and some impressive specs to match. According to a reliable leak from Evan Blass (@evleaks), the device will officially be called the Galaxy Z TriFold, marking Samsung’s biggest leap in foldable design since the Galaxy Fold debuted in 2019.

Galaxy Z TriFold: Specs and Features

Blass shared several “confirmed details” about the Galaxy Z TriFold on X (formerly Twitter). The device will feature a 6.5-inch cover display with a peak brightness of 2600 nits, which unfolds into a massive 10-inch internal display capable of 1600 nits brightness.

Under the hood, Samsung is reportedly equipping the TriFold with a Snapdragon processor, a 200MP main camera, and a 5,437mAh battery, ensuring it delivers flagship performance and endurance despite its complex design.

Thinner Than Huawei’s Trifold

The phone’s folding mechanism consists of three panels, each measuring between 3.9mm and 4.2mm thick. When folded, the Galaxy Z TriFold could measure just 12.1mm, making it slightly thinner than Huawei’s 12.8mm trifold — a notable feat in foldable engineering.

Expected Launch and Price

While Samsung hasn’t made anything official yet, leaks suggest a December 5th launch in South Korea, with a price tag around $3,000. That would make it one of the most expensive smartphones on the market — but also one of the most futuristic.

With this launch, Samsung seems ready to push the boundaries of what’s possible in mobile design yet again. If true, the Galaxy Z TriFold could redefine what we expect from a smartphone in 2025.
