Samsung is gearing up to roll out the One UI 8 beta update for its flagship Galaxy S series devices, aiming for a quicker and smoother upgrade experience compared to the prior One UI 7 rollout. According to trusted leaker Tarun Vats and official confirmations, the One UI 8 beta will become available to Galaxy S24 series users starting August 13, 2025, with the beta program also opening in key regions such as the US, UK, India, and South Korea. This marks an early start following the initial beta tests on the Galaxy S25 series and stable release on Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 devices.

For Galaxy S23 users, the wait is a bit longer but still forthcoming: the One UI 8 beta is expected to begin around September 8, 2025. Samsung is expanding the beta program in phases to ensure stability and gather user feedback before a full public rollout.

Additional device families like Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 are expected to join the beta testing phase in August as well, although exact dates have not been confirmed yet. The stable One UI 8 update rollout is projected to kick off starting September, initially for the Galaxy S25 series and will gradually extend to more devices, including the S24 and S23 series.

Powered by Android 16, One UI 8 promises enhanced multimodal AI features, improved user interface, better reliability, and new software capabilities that aim to simplify users’ daily smartphone interactions.

If you’re interested in joining the beta program, you can sign up via the Samsung Members app within the eligible regions when the beta opens. This phased and regional rollout strategy is designed to provide a faster, more robust update experience compared to previous years.
