With smartphone ownership reaching 85.5% of Indian households per a recent Ministry of Statistics report, Vi highlighted the rising need amid a projected $2.6 billion handset insurance market growing at 14% annually. Replacing a mid-range phone can cost Rs. 20,000–25,000, making theft and loss coverage a practical safeguard for everyday users.
The plans provide up to Rs. 25,000 sum insured for both Android and iOS devices, with a streamlined digital claims process using existing customer data for quick resolutions—no separate policy purchase required.
