Vivo has confirmed that its upcoming X300 and X300 Pro smartphones will feature a custom 200MP HPB sensor, setting a new standard in mobile imaging innovation.
200MP HPB Sensor: Next-Gen Camera Technology

The newly announced 200MP HPB sensor is a unique version of Samsung’s HP9, specially customized by Vivo (dubbed “Blue Factory”) for the X300 series. With a large 1/1.4″ aperture, the main camera supports both 23mm 200MP HD and 50mm 50MP ultra-HD photographs, offering unprecedented sharpness and flexibility for mobile photography. A blue glass lens coating—first introduced in the X200 Ultra—returns with Zeiss T* coating, ensuring greater control over stray light and ghosting.

Zeiss Optics and Advanced Imaging

A dedicated lens module for high-pixel sensors maximizes the output of the 200MP camera, achieving industry-leading CIPA 4.5 image stabilization certification, which outperforms competing flagship models. Vivo’s custom algorithms, deep platform collaboration, and high-power multi-frame fusion have enabled the creation of this Zeiss 200MP “super main camera” for the X300. The Pro variant ups the ante—a deeply customized 200MP HPB sensor is used for the telephoto lens, making it Vivo’s fourth generation of 200MP telephoto modules.
Telephoto & Ultra-Wide Imaging Breakthroughs
Both models feature a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 50MP 3X periscope telephoto lens using Sony’s IMX885 sensor (1/2″) for 70mm optical zoom and telephoto macro shots. The X300 Pro telephoto lens achieves an industry-high CIPA 5.5 image stabilization, augmented by an exclusive focus tracking engine designed for ultra-long-range motion photography. Zeiss T* coating ensures pure images and APO certification minimizes chromatic aberration, while fluorite glass lenses reduce dispersion for improved clarity.
Advanced Imaging Platform & AI Features
Vivo is introducing the pre-processing chip VS1 and V3+ dual-core architecture to the X300, enabling advanced image restoration and multi-frame fusion algorithms. The series will also be empowered by future AI landscape creation tools and customized beauty filters driven by large AIGC models.
Specifications Highlights
With the introduction of a custom 200MP HPB sensor, exclusive Zeiss optics, advanced stabilization, and breakthrough imaging algorithms, the Vivo X300 and X300 Pro are poised to redefine mobile photography when they debut later this year.
