Xiaomi is gearing up to make a significant splash in the global smartphone market with the launch of its highly anticipated Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Ultra models. The global unveiling is scheduled for March 2nd at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 in Barcelona, just a day before the official start of the conference.
Key Features of the Xiaomi 15
The Xiaomi 15, which was first introduced in China in October, boasts a 6.36-inch 1.5K OLED 120Hz LTPO display with ultra-narrow bezels, providing an immersive viewing experience. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, ensuring robust performance and efficiency. The device features a triple rear camera setup, including a 50MP primary sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP 2.6X telephoto camera, all equipped with Leica Summilux lenses for exceptional photography capabilities.
In terms of battery life, the Xiaomi 15 packs a 5400mAh battery with support for 90W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging. The phone is expected to be available in two storage configurations: 12GB RAM + 256GB storage and 12GB RAM + 512GB storage for the global market.
Xiaomi 15 Ultra: The Flagship Model
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is the premium offering in the series, featuring a more advanced camera system. It includes a 50MP main camera with a 1-inch sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide camera, a 50MP short-range telephoto camera, and a 200MP long-range telephoto camera. This setup is designed to deliver superior image quality across various scenarios.
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is also powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and comes with a 6000mAh battery that supports 90W wired and 50W wireless charging. The device is expected to offer enhanced durability with IP68 and IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance.
Global Launch and Availability
While the global launch is set for March 2nd, the phones will also be available in India, with pricing expected to be announced on March 18th and sales starting on March 21st. The devices will be sold exclusively on Amazon.in in India.
