The Xiaomi 16 Pro Max is shaping up to be a flagship powerhouse, boasting significant upgrades particularly in its camera system and battery capacity. According to recent leaks and insider reports, the device is expected to launch in China later this year as the successor to the Xiaomi 15 Pro.
At the heart of the Xiaomi 16 Pro Max’s photography capabilities is a new 50-megapixel SmartSens 590 main sensor, which is slightly larger at 1/1.28 inches compared to the previous Omnivision OVX9000 sensor in the Xiaomi 15 Pro. This larger sensor is designed to capture more light, improving image quality especially in low-light scenarios.
