YouTube TV subscribers frustrated over missing Disney-owned channels — including ESPN, ABC, and FX — are getting a bit of relief. The streaming service is offering a $20 credit to customers affected by the ongoing blackout.

The credit comes after Disney’s channels were pulled from YouTube TV on October 31, following a breakdown in contract negotiations between the two companies. YouTube TV confirmed to TechCrunch that credits are now rolling out, and subscribers will receive email instructions on how to claim the discount for their next billing cycle.

The dispute reportedly centers around pricing disagreements, with YouTube accusing Disney of demanding higher fees, while Disney claims YouTube is “refusing to pay fair rates.”

If an agreement is reached soon, YouTube says the affected Disney channels could return to the service within a few hours.

This isn’t the first time the two giants have clashed — back in 2022, a similar standoff led to Disney’s programming being removed for a day, after which YouTube TV compensated users with a $15 credit.

For now, viewers will have to wait and hope the two companies reach a deal soon — and at least enjoy a small credit for the inconvenience.
