realme has officially launched the GT 8 Pro, its latest flagship smartphone, in India. The device marks the beginning of a new chapter in smartphone photography thanks to its co-engineered camera system developed with Ricoh Imaging, known for its iconic GR series. Prices start at Rs. 72,999 for the 12GB + 256GB variant, while the higher-end 16GB + 512GB model costs Rs. 78,999.
Next-gen design and customization
A standout feature of the GT 8 Pro is its world-first switchable camera bump, allowing users to detach and swap camera modules with different styles—round, square, or even robot-themed. The phone also comes in eco-friendly finishes like Diary White and Urban Blue, featuring a paper-like leather back made from recycled materials.
Powerhouse performance
Under the hood, the GT 8 Pro runs on Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB UFS 4.1 storage. It features a massive 7000mm² vapor cooling area for sustained peak performance, supported by realme’s new AI Gaming Super Frame technology. The phone runs realme UI 7.0 based on Android 16 and will receive four years of Android updates and five years of security patches.
The 6.79-inch 2K+ OLED “HyperGlow” display offers a 144Hz refresh rate, an ultra-high 7000 nits peak brightness, and 3200Hz instant touch sampling, making it ideal for gaming and multimedia.
Flagship-grade camera system
The new Ricoh GR-driven triple camera setup includes a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide camera, and a 200MP Samsung HP5 periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical and up to 12x lossless zoom. The phone supports advanced recording modes like 4K 120fps Dolby Vision, 8K 30fps, and 10-bit Log format.
The partnership with Ricoh brings exclusive GR-inspired photography modes, focal lengths (28mm and 40mm), and tones to deliver a DSLR-like shooting experience.
Big battery, fast charging
The GT 8 Pro houses a 7000mAh “Titan” battery supporting 120W SuperVOOC wired charging and 50W wireless flash charging. According to realme, it can charge up to 50% in just 15 minutes wirelessly or fully in under 45 minutes via cable.
GT 8 Pro Dream Edition
realme also introduced the GT 8 Pro Dream Edition, co-created with Aston Martin Aramco F1 Team. It features Aston Martin Racing Green and Lime Essence accents, a metallic racing stripe, and a custom motorsport-inspired UI with engine sound effects and track-themed wallpapers. Priced at Rs. 79,999, it goes on sale from November 25, 2025.
